|  | Arghhhh!! why do some agencies take the p*** when it comes to paying us after we have been nothing but professional and worked our little assess off?
It really does drive me crazy that I have money issues because I havn't been paid. Maybe it would compensate me slighty if they were EVER SORRY or appologetic for not paying us but I am made to feel like a:I am hasseling them b:its my fault Can you imagine if they didn't get or god forbid they paid us to much....they sure as hell would like there money back asap eh!
If anybody else has been messed around then please feel free to join me in my rant.....ok stress over!! |

Not that this helps but I'm the staffing manager at Promostar and used to work for loads of agencies myself - was always frustrated at no payment after 6 weeks.
At Promostar, so long as you have done the job outlined in the brief, and have faxed, scanned and emailed or posted your invoice and report forms back, we will issue payment directly to your bank as soon as the day after the event. It can take 3-5 days to clear in the bank but usually you have payment in your bank within a week.
This is good for you for obvious reasons, but it is good for us for the following:
1. We're a small team and need to process new clients, bookings and payment quickly.
2. Delaying payment for a long time can lead to mistakes. Things are fresh in our mind the days after the event. If people have done a great job and deserve their bonus then we know that the day after - so we make payment then.
3. Why not pay immediately. We only take on good clients and so know they're going to pay us. You've worked for us and so we are still going to pay you even if a client screws us!
4. By keeping you happy you'll do a better job for us! :)
5. By keeping you happy and paying quicker, you'll choose to work with us if you are offered work with another company too (if the other company pays 4+ weeks later)
This isn't just a big plug for our company Promostar (http://www.promostar.co.uk) but it is my genuine thoughts on how the industry should be. For the reasons above.
We'll continue to do what we do. |
