As an employer it is free to post jobs opportunities on our site and to contact promotional staff listed in our database.
N.B. Minimum age of staff is 18 years old.
We strongly recommend that when booking staff, you have in place a back-up member of staff to ensure that you are covered if any problems arise on the day (e.g. transport problems, illness etc.).
Recommended Rates of Pay
This is only an approximation and entirely dependent on the type of promotional work that is involved. All payment is discussed directly between the employer and job seeker, but we provide you with a rough guideline.
N.B The minimum wage for those aged between 18-21 is £4.45 and those aged 22 and over is £5.35.
Common Promo Work Jobs
Costumed Characters
For the theatrical amongst you – involves dressing up /fancy dress.
Flyering / leafleting
Very common type of work. Involves handing out information to the public in the form of leaflets. A way of directly promoting products / services to the public.
Hospitality
General front of house role including meeting and greeting. Ideal for those of you with sparkling communicational skills.
Product Demonstration
Usually occurs in shops, eg supermarkets and department stores. The job is to illustrate how a product works, or offering a sample of the product to the public.
Market Survey Participant
Simply answering/responding to questions on order for a company to gain feedback on a product or service.
Mystery Shopping
You go undercover as a member of the public to report back a realistic and genuine experience of a service. Ideally you need to have previous experience in the field.
