What is Promo Jobs Pro?

  • Promo is an online directory where members can create a profile (including a CV and a photo), actively search the jobs board and companies can also view your profile directly.

    • How much does it cost?

  • That is the great thing about Promo, unlike the majority of similar companies our service only costs £10+VAT for a 6 month listing in our central database. We understand that considering you are looking for promotional work in the first place it is not appealing to part with more money!

    • Can you guarantee me work?

  • Promo Jobs is not your employer and can not ensure you get work but we can give you the best opportunity with an extensive number of companies and agencies seeking promotional staff.

    • How can I improve my chances of work?

  • Use your profile as a chance to shine and keep it up to date! Include all your skills and make sure it is appealing to potential employers. Also keep an eye on the jobs board and keep on top of job alerts to make sure you don’t miss out!

    • How will I be contacted?

  • You will automatically be sent opportunities that match your skills, so you will no longer be bombarded with opportunities that aren’t suitable. You could also be contacted by the employer directly.

    • Do you pay us or negotiate fees?

  • We do not get any cut of your pay, and all payment/salary negotiations are between you and the employer. We are not an agency and are involved in the negotiation of payment.

    • N.B. Minimum age 18 years old.

  • Promo Jobs Pro is an online directory with over 8,000+ members. The benefit of Promo is the majority of our members are professional actors and models and therefore are reliable, confident and experienced individuals.

    • How do I contact members of staff?

  • Once you are a register employer, you can access contact details on the desired profile pages immediately.

    • How much does it cost?
    As an employer it is free to post jobs opportunities on our site and to contact promotional staff listed in our database.

    This means you can search our database of members directly, using a simple Quick Search (gender / age / location) or an Advanced Search with more detailed criteria including hair colour / height / driving licenses / additional skills etc.

    N.B. Minimum age of staff is 18 years old.

    We strongly recommend that when booking staff, you have in place a back-up member of staff to ensure that you are covered if any problems arise on the day (e.g. transport problems, illness etc.).

    Recommended Rates of Pay

    This is only an approximation and entirely dependent on the type of promotional work that is involved. All payment is discussed directly between the employer and job seeker, but we provide you with a rough guideline.

  • Approximately £10-20 per hour.

    • N.B The minimum wage for those aged between 18-21 is £4.45 and those aged 22 and over is £5.35.

    Common Promo Work Jobs

    Costumed Characters
    For the theatrical amongst you – involves dressing up /fancy dress.

    Flyering / leafleting
    Very common type of work. Involves handing out information to the public in the form of leaflets. A way of directly promoting products / services to the public.

    Hospitality
    General front of house role including meeting and greeting. Ideal for those of you with sparkling communicational skills.

    Product Demonstration
    Usually occurs in shops, eg supermarkets and department stores. The job is to illustrate how a product works, or offering a sample of the product to the public.

    Market Survey Participant
    Simply answering/responding to questions on order for a company to gain feedback on a product or service.

    Mystery Shopping
    You go undercover as a member of the public to report back a realistic and genuine experience of a service. Ideally you need to have previous experience in the field.
